The IRC helps people whose lives have been shattered by conflict and disaster, reaching those who need it most despite politics, hostilities or harsh climates.

In 2019 we served hundreds of new refugees and immigrant families in Los Angeles, and we couldn’t have done it without your support. We thank you for your dedication to standing with the IRC, and commitment to welcoming refugees into the new year.

Our 6,000 person staff—99 percent of them Afghans themselves—are working across 12 provinces to deliver programs in education, health and nutrition, women’s protection and empowerment, and more.

Some countries the IRC serves are only beginning to experience the impact of COVID-19. The IRC is using lessons from countries further along in their responses to scale our impact in areas where COVID-19 is spreading.

Refugee families, survivors of human trafficking and other vulnerable populations that we serve will be disproportionately affected by the impact of COVID-19 on our community in the coming weeks.
